Welcome to your GUEST PAGE Dear Reader…

Should you want to just say hello or give a nice word of encouragement, tell Fred that you were inspired, share with him and others how he changed your life, or let him know that he sucks abundantly, this is the place. It was specially designed for this purpose – this is your page Dear Reader, it is open to your feedback.

Small print: This page is mostly intended for kind words (you are guests after all…); however, I don’t mind criticism and if you think you should, please go ahead and empty your heart… I ask that you remain polite and respectful, and will enforce that so this place remains agreeable for all to hang around.

I envy and admire the fact, that you can take time off to travel the world in your personal karate quest. To learn as much as you can, and from as many perspectives as you can, is to me a very important element of Karate-Do. One day, I wish to do the same.

I wish you the best of luck in your travels, and hope it will be one without injuries or other problems.

Osu Sandman – Thank you for your ongoing support Sandman; we may meet pretty soon.

Osu Dent – Thank you for being instrumental in this journey Dent; I am looking forward to my visit.

Osu Nix – Thank you for your support & advice during the set up of this blog; Once you determine what is most important to you in your young life, I am sure you will turn your envy into positive energy.

Osu MilkManX – Arizona has a special place in my heart and it is certain that I will pass by during my journey… I’ll be sure to call you.

Osu Kelvin – Thank you for your welcome in Singapore and being the official “kickstarter” of my journey – I am wearing the colors you executed for me.

Osu Gary, aka Grand Imperial Poobah, aka Shihan of Shihans… Thank you for your open heart invitation to visit you; I’ll make sure it happens.

Osu Christopher Mattison – Envy is the receptacle and origin of lots of energy… if harnessed well and directed positively, you can use it to power your young heart’s dreams.

Osu JCC – Thank you for your support; I know you will follow the journey with interest.

Osu Shihan Senshido – Thank you for your support and encouragements; I hope we’ll have the opportunity to meet sometimes.

Osu PowerOf0ne – thank you for your support; I know you are at a crossroad of your own and I hope to be of help when we meet next.

Osu Hoosain Narker Shihan – Thank you for your early on invitation to train with you in Southern Africa; it went straight to my heart and your call will not remain unanswered.
Your own karate odyssey http://www.karateodyssey.com and the adventures you relate in your book and your accomplishments are an inspiration.

Osu kanku – From my earliest appearance on K4L, I have been reading your contributions and respected your point of views; I am honored to welcome you here.

Osu Ros – Thank you for inspiring me with your workout journal & your progress with Monty on K4L; I appreciate you dropped by to sign my guest book.

I know your strength and spirit will be with me along the way.

Osu SteveK – Thank you for “the life of purpose”; I like that!
I am sure we will meet and have a chance to train together, we are on the same path and it will be either Thailand or Singapore, we’ll see…

Hi Larry, thank you for dropping by and signing up my guest book, I appreciate.

“May your journey be filled with twists and turns and take you places that you never imagined. May you count every challenge(Problem) a blessing in disguise(look for the blessing). May the Designer be found, for it is all by Design.”

May it all happen as you wished Larry…

Osu Josh – I did not know you were a karateka; but now that I do, I am thinking that maybe it explains what drew us together at some moment… I do not know if your style of karate is big on “OSUing” each other (I learned recently that some even resent it…), but kyokushin and related styles do it in an expression of good spirit, even if I understand that some may find it obnoxious…
I give you a loud osu!

Hi Mitsue – your support goes right to my heart, thank you.

Hi Susan – kyokushin translates into “the way of the ultimate/extreme truth” — it seems to fit well with my other quests, and maybe also with some of my “extreme” positions, doesn’t it?
I’ve long said I had no regrets; that was until I rediscovered kyokushin: I knew then how much I’d miss it and regret I ever stopped. There is no doubt in my mind that you may feel the same when you return to karate, in your own time.

Thank you Javier — If it comes to that & have to “break a leg”, I’ll try NOT to break mine! Appreciate you signing the guestb book.

Osu Walter, appreciate you dropping by and signing the guest book; it must be age, but I just don’t seem to be able to place you… Have we met or interacted before? maybe on K4L?

WOW Fred! You’ve always been an “original” being. Blessings and best wishes on your journey!

I feel fortunate and privileged to have the opportunity to be able to follow your sacred journey and your continued search for truth. Thank you for including your friends from the Bucky Call in your invitation. I am SO very happy to be included. Thank you!

I left everything a number of years ago on a spiritual journey around the world. I found Bucky, studied at an ashram in India, received my name Venu, and studied Aikido, and this was only a part of my journey. I have never been the same since… and the journey has no end : )

As always, I so respect you Fred and am so happy to be a distant supporter of your journey.

    Fred,

Thank you for being my friend, my mentor, and my own personal poet from across the many miles that separate us. You have pushed me and challenged me to achieve goals I never thought possible. You have been there to celebrate my highs and sent me love and support through my lows. Your humor, wisdom, and insight are what cemented our friendship and make it such an honor to have met you and to have you be a part of my life. You are the first man to write me poetry since I was in high school–and karate poetry, no less! :) I hope you will add Georgia to your travels and visit and train with sandman, Hangtime, WYKKO, and myself. My children look forward to meeting Uncle Freddie in China. It would be very cool to have you join our JKS Saturday training, even just for one Saturday. ;) Until that day, you remain close in my heart, my budo brother. Osu!, Fred, Osu!

Osu Ulysse – I am very proud that you started kyokushin with me last year & I am looking forward to spending 3 weeks training with you this summer. We’ll be under the guidance of “dent” a world class karateka.

Osu Minas, thank you for your kind words and your interest going forward; I’ll work hard to be up to the challenge.

Osu Mas, I am honored by your visit and your words of encouragement – AYOBA… I like that!
Southern Africa is definitely on the plan, so we’ll have a chance to meet.
In the meantime, I am looking forward to your results in Spain.

Osu Anne Dharma — thank you for your kind words, and let’s hope that Mrs InChina is in a good mood when she reads that I am your ‘personal poet”… I don’t write that much poesy for her…
Count on me for more push and more challenges, in exchange, I would not expect anything less from you.
I’ll be in the US next summer… maybe we’ll have a chance to meet and train together; in the meantime, I wish you have time to heal all your wounds.

    Dearest Fred,

You are a continual source of inspiration. You never cease to impress me with your clear thinking, focus and drive. I had not been aware of this part of your journey. I consider you an example to emulate in this regard. Thank you for following your bliss and being able to let go of that which is no longer serving you. That took courage. You made your leap and the net was ready and waiting.

With my bizarre sense of humour, (of which you have the same!), as I was reading your description of “Kyokushin Karate”, I immediately received a mental image of Peter Sellers in his Pink Panther movies, and saying “NOT NOW KATO!!!”. Expect the unexpected.

The portion from the description “It is the truth about yourself and the fact that you are only as good as your last fight or training”, describes life, business dealings and more. No wonder you were so drawn to this. This is your approach.

I applaud you and wish you all the best during your travels….

    Most sincerely,
    Andrea

Thank you so much Andrea – Being myself, authenticity or the best I can manage to close the gap is what drives me – interestingly, shedding some of what served me no longer was easy… on the other hand, now that I think of it, some of it is still there and “sticky”… it will require another burst of effort.
I’ll be in New Jersey all summer… not too far from where you guys are, on a day off, we could have a cup of tea together…
